Hey HH....most times I don't even know what day it is.

True with KM....they redshirted him and left early so only two years. Even if they redshirt, they still can play another 4 years. I thought you \"meant\" to say that if they \"pulled\" the redshirt then a year would have been wasted.

LOL you guys are crazy!

I, as I'm sure the rest of you are, SUPER excited to see this new 3-4 in action. Really looking forward to seeing one of the LB's come around the end and just LEVEL the opposing captain. My only major concern w/ the new scheme is the NOSE position. It may very well be the most important position in that 3-4 scheme.

As far as offense. Really appeared that the OL \"gelled\" late last year, which is what opened up the run game w/ CK and WE. This year we have 10 starters returning on the O side of the ball. No excuses.

DAWG1277, I did some figuring of my own on Ealey from last year. He did not play in the first four games, ended up with over 700 yards with an offensive line that was still \"developing\". My numbers show that Ealey, even though sharing time with Caleb would have finished the year as a 1,000 yard gainer had he played in the first four games. I still think that our running back situation is in good shape, these two guys ain't bad, matter of fact, might be singing praises about our running backs by the end of the year (or before).

Keep this thought in mind . . . . I think that Murray will be the QB and one of his many talents . . . . he can run, and will. This is not Pro Ball where QB running is not recommended. If I am playing defense and know that your QB is going to stay in the pocket, I don't have to have a GPS system to find him. 3/4 defenses have a history of doing great damage to pocket passers.

Personally feel this offense is loaded, it will be low key (I hope) and many are going to be surprised when Coach Richt opens the package for all of us to see. That is not a shot at Coach Bobo, it is that I think some changes have been made on offense, not just the defense.

Defense gives the offense a short field to work with, sky is the limit. My opinion.

What You Think?

#31 1 year, 11 months ago
Good Morning All,

Spring ball starts today and G-Game is April 10th. I was thinking the very best thing we can look forward to is how we are going to improve. What I mean is we can look forward to players and coaches who grow with each game. We won't be watching reruns of plays and players that don't produce. Call it GATA -Junkyard or a delightful mixture of both. This season is going to be special not just for this year but what the future holds. Time to enjoy the spring and summer. Watch BC's farewell tour with the Braves. Sept. 4th will be it soon and we will all be ready to tee it up here in Athens. Go Dawgs !

Ealey is going to be a beast. I don't think we have really seen every thing he has to offer.

I think we may see a little more spread offense play with Murry this year. I know georgia is not know for that, but I think Richt sees the potential Murry has a running threat. What do you guys think about that.

  • 3 players dismissed by Georgia for team rules violations

ATHENS — Three players have been kicked off the Georgia football team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

UGA coach Mark Richt announced this morning that defensive back Nick Marshall, wide receiver Sanford Seay and  defensive back Chris Sanders have been dismissed from the team. All three are freshmen and were members of Georgia’s 2011 “Dream Team” recruiting class.

The school did not address what precipitated the dismissals.

“It’s a privilege to play college football and to be a part of this team and University,” Richt said in a statement. “Along with that privilege comes certain responsibilities. Mistakes were made, and part of...

  • UGA has to report NCAA secondary violation due to comments on Harvey-Clemons

ATHENS — Georgia will have to report an NCAA secondary violation regarding its recruitment of Josh Harvey-Clemons. But as far as secondary violations go, they don’t get much more secondary than this one.

Jim Booz, UGA’s senior associate athletic director for compliance, confirmed to The AJC Thursday that coach Mark Richt ran afoul of NCAA bylaws when he commented on Harvey-Clemons shortly after the highly-touted prospect announced on national television his decision to sign with the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Harvey-Clemons’ signing ceremony at Lowndes High School in Valdosta was televised live by ESPN and the sports network also had a reporter...

  • UPDATED: Harvey-Clemons never wavered on UGA, just had to convince granddad

ATHENS — Josh Harvey-Clemons said he never wavered on his decision to sign with Georgia. He just had to convince his grandfather that it was the best move.

“I just had to sit down with my family and get everybody on the same page,” said Harvey-Clemons, reached by phone Thursday morning in Valdosta. “He was looking at it as Florida was closer. I’ve got a cousin who still plays at Lowndes and my little brother is going to be in high school next year. Florida is only like an hour and 20 minutes away, so he was thinking about going to...
