TOPIC: What You Think?

I was just looking over uga numbers over the past few years. And personal I think Bobo has done a pretty good job, ya last year was a bad year. But in 2008 we were second in almost every offensive stat in the sec, and we were first in passing yards. I really think he was handicapped with Cox and the running back situation. Plus with the d playing like they did put a lot of pressure on the o. And he could not ask Cox to throw the big pass, he just didn't have arm for it. But I do think he should have let Murry be the QB though if he is clearly the better player. I also think the O will be a lot better this year, not spectacular just better. They won't be playing down to the other team. And hopefully the D can get some more takeaways, and give the O a shorter field.

And something else I have been upset with is I have never liked the way Georgia has done with the underclassmen. They always tend to let the seniors play regardless if they are the best. And I really feel like that is going to change with the arrival of CTG.

And one more thing, just think of how great uga would have been in 08 if the D was playing at the level the O was playing. Man that would have been sweet!!

To be honest with you I'm glad they redshirted AM. He had tendinitis(I am a terrible speller sorry!)in his shoulder and was out for almost 4 weeks! I think that is the main reason why JC started the whole season. They showed us little looks of LG at QB, and it wasn't good. I think CMB hands were tied with the QB situation last year.

This year is a different story! ZM has improve 10x with his feet work. Which will make him a much better QB. AM is a leader, and a well rounded QB. LG will be playing another position. HM if he can catch up to the speed of the game, I think he will be good. I love his attitude! The biggest thing is, we actually have a QB battle. I think it will make all of our QB's better. May the best man win!

CMB needs to make something happen this year, or I feel he will have alot of upset Dawg fans to deal with. I don't want to see that. I think he can do this job, and be good at it. He is a Dawg through and through and I think we need that. Go Dawgs!!!!

Good point BD10 I wasn't aware of the tendinitis. That would be a pretty good reason to start joe cox, and you don't won't to red shirt AM or ZM for a few games when the season is a wash any way.Pluse if you red shirt you loose a full season with them.

And Stanger I'm jacked up to. You know we may have bulldogs, but next year I think we might have some Pitbulls. (If that doesn't get you jacked then nothing will)!!!!!

From what I've been reading it sounds like the D is gonna hit the ground running.

I'm assumimg you meant if they \"pulled\" the redshirt we would lose a year with them.

  • 3 players dismissed by Georgia for team rules violations

ATHENS — Three players have been kicked off the Georgia football team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.

UGA coach Mark Richt announced this morning that defensive back Nick Marshall, wide receiver Sanford Seay and  defensive back Chris Sanders have been dismissed from the team. All three are freshmen and were members of Georgia’s 2011 “Dream Team” recruiting class.

The school did not address what precipitated the dismissals.

“It’s a privilege to play college football and to be a part of this team and University,” Richt said in a statement. “Along with that privilege comes certain responsibilities. Mistakes were made, and part of...

  • UGA has to report NCAA secondary violation due to comments on Harvey-Clemons

ATHENS — Georgia will have to report an NCAA secondary violation regarding its recruitment of Josh Harvey-Clemons. But as far as secondary violations go, they don’t get much more secondary than this one.

Jim Booz, UGA’s senior associate athletic director for compliance, confirmed to The AJC Thursday that coach Mark Richt ran afoul of NCAA bylaws when he commented on Harvey-Clemons shortly after the highly-touted prospect announced on national television his decision to sign with the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Harvey-Clemons’ signing ceremony at Lowndes High School in Valdosta was televised live by ESPN and the sports network also had a reporter...

  • UPDATED: Harvey-Clemons never wavered on UGA, just had to convince granddad

ATHENS — Josh Harvey-Clemons said he never wavered on his decision to sign with Georgia. He just had to convince his grandfather that it was the best move.

“I just had to sit down with my family and get everybody on the same page,” said Harvey-Clemons, reached by phone Thursday morning in Valdosta. “He was looking at it as Florida was closer. I’ve got a cousin who still plays at Lowndes and my little brother is going to be in high school next year. Florida is only like an hour and 20 minutes away, so he was thinking about going to...
