GO HAPPY!!! Fire_dawg, be safe this weekend, and make sure you remind Happy how close he came last time you were there as you're giving his car that good luck rub. Tell him to bring it home for us and to keep JJ out of VL.
I agree that the PC has taken it's toll on the sport, hopefully the guys will start getting back to their roots soon.
Cali has always been the 2nd most boring race on the circuit IMO, behind Pocono, which is by far the most boring race twice every year. How those two tracks got 2 races of 500 miles each is a mystery. At least Michigan, which is almost as boring, is only 400 miles.

I agree. They got nascar so screwed up. I'm not a big fan of Jeff Gorden, but I believe he is 10X the driver Jimmy is.
They need to give the race back to the drivers, and not control it from the booth. Let them race and let them race hard. Let them race back to the yellow flag to. I mean my god there in a car that can hit the wall at 180 MPH and walk away fine. Give them harder tires so they actually have to drive the car.
And I hope Kasey wins he has been the man ever since he took over Bills ride. But I do believe he will leave RPM. Has has way to much talent to was it at RPM.

Sadlerdawg, the shell has been cracked! I was GLAD to see Carl show that he is not afraid to use his front bumper!! Even though he is catching ALOT of crap about it, that is EXACTLY what NASCAR needed!! That one incident is gonna help Bristol sell alot more tickets. And secretly NASCAR liked it also, even though they wont admit it. I am glad no one got hurt, but Brad had it coming. Also, the past few months I have been hearing rumor that AMS was gonna lose the spring race so they could give Ky a date. But, this past weekend I found out that Cali may be the one losing a date instead of Atl. Seems they havent sold out a race since they opened. Not sure how true that is but I like it! The word is that the spring Atl. date is too early for Ky because they still get a good bit of snow this time of year. But hell, so do we.

fire_dawg, could not agree with you more about the track situation between the \"newcomer\" and Carl. No one wants to see a death or crippling injuries, but that turned out to be a \"wake-up call\" in my way of thinking. These young folks make it to the big time and think that they can do as they dang well please. K had it coming, and I don't need to hear him crying about being \"tapped\".
Saw on the tube a few minutes ago where Carl will be on \"probation\" for three races. Good for NASCAR, let K know that his stuff also stinks. You are definitely on the mark with your comment about NASCAR maybe looking the \"other way\" on this one. Needs Jimmy to come out of the booth and smack him in the chops, much like he did when he was driving and there was another \"upstart\" that thought he could do as he pleased on the track. Think that dude learned a lesson and finished first at AMS this past weekend. . . .

Yeah, Buc, I've been saying ever since that young \"upstart\"s brother came on the scene that Jimmy needs to go warm his head up for him too, just like he did Kurt.
Fire_dawg, I hope you're right about Cali. That race sucks, and ATL is good. I think they should take both Cali's races and both of Pocono's and give one back to Darlington and one back to N Wilkesboro and two back to the Rock.

3 players dismissed by Georgia for team rules violations
ATHENS — Three players have been kicked off the Georgia football team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
UGA coach Mark Richt announced this morning that defensive back Nick Marshall, wide receiver Sanford Seay and defensive back Chris Sanders have been dismissed from the team. All three are freshmen and were members of Georgia’s 2011 “Dream Team” recruiting class.
The school did not address what precipitated the dismissals.
“It’s a privilege to play college football and to be a part of this team and University,” Richt said in a statement. “Along with that privilege comes certain responsibilities. Mistakes were made, and part of...

UGA has to report NCAA secondary violation due to comments on Harvey-Clemons
ATHENS — Georgia will have to report an NCAA secondary violation regarding its recruitment of Josh Harvey-Clemons. But as far as secondary violations go, they don’t get much more secondary than this one.
Jim Booz, UGA’s senior associate athletic director for compliance, confirmed to The AJC Thursday that coach Mark Richt ran afoul of NCAA bylaws when he commented on Harvey-Clemons shortly after the highly-touted prospect announced on national television his decision to sign with the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Harvey-Clemons’ signing ceremony at Lowndes High School in Valdosta was televised live by ESPN and the sports network also had a reporter...

UPDATED: Harvey-Clemons never wavered on UGA, just had to convince granddad
ATHENS — Josh Harvey-Clemons said he never wavered on his decision to sign with Georgia. He just had to convince his grandfather that it was the best move.
“I just had to sit down with my family and get everybody on the same page,” said Harvey-Clemons, reached by phone Thursday morning in Valdosta. “He was looking at it as Florida was closer. I’ve got a cousin who still plays at Lowndes and my little brother is going to be in high school next year. Florida is only like an hour and 20 minutes away, so he was thinking about going to...
