I suppose we all knew it was coming, but today UGA made it official: the announce team that will follow up Munson/Howard will be Howard/Zeier. Congratulations on behalf of Dawg Nation to Scott Howard and Eric Zeier. We look forward to 40 more years of great calls.
\"TOUCH DOWN!!! ONE AND DONE, BABY!!!\"

\"Massaquoi 25, 20, 15, 10, SO LONG, EVERYBODY! TOUCHDOWN!\"

True. But we've got an opening for a Scott. All he needs is to release his inner homer and he's guaranteed a place in Dawgland folklore.

Release his inner homer? Did you hear him during the Florida game last year when Blair Walsh banged that field goal off the uprights? I thought Scott was gonna get fired for his reaction, he was so frustrated.
More homer calls:
\"Time stands still when you beat Georgia Tech.\"
- Scott, vs. Tech in 2006
\"Florida fans are moving their slithery little bodies towards the exits.\"
- Zeier, vs. Florida in 2007
\"I think he's still on the 15 yard line, looking for his jockstrap.\"
- Scott, vs. Ole Miss in 2007, of a defender who got juked out of his shoes by Thomas Brown.
Larry: \"Old Lady Luck just laughed out loud right there.\"
Scott: \"She was wearing hobnailed boots, Larry.\"
- vs. Tennessee, 2003

I don't get to listen often, but I'm glad to see he's holding up Larry's tradition. Rock on, Scott Howard.

The best part about listening to Z-Man, LimeyDawg, is how absolutely LIVID he gets whenever he discusses Florida. Even when we're not playing Florida, if the score comes across the AJC Scoreboard, Zeier can be heard choking back the bile behind his microphone. The way Scott Howard feels about Tech, Z-Man feels about Florida. Once Florida was playing some other SEC team, I forget which, and Scott, Hondo and Loren are doing the pregame. Hondo says \"And, at 3:30, Florida vs. so-and-so\" and Zeier interrupts him with, \"Lose, Gators, lose!\"
Yeah, they trained under the best. HOMERS ALL THE WAY, AND GLORY GLORY ONCE YOU GET THERE!!!

3 players dismissed by Georgia for team rules violations
ATHENS — Three players have been kicked off the Georgia football team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
UGA coach Mark Richt announced this morning that defensive back Nick Marshall, wide receiver Sanford Seay and defensive back Chris Sanders have been dismissed from the team. All three are freshmen and were members of Georgia’s 2011 “Dream Team” recruiting class.
The school did not address what precipitated the dismissals.
“It’s a privilege to play college football and to be a part of this team and University,” Richt said in a statement. “Along with that privilege comes certain responsibilities. Mistakes were made, and part of...

UGA has to report NCAA secondary violation due to comments on Harvey-Clemons
ATHENS — Georgia will have to report an NCAA secondary violation regarding its recruitment of Josh Harvey-Clemons. But as far as secondary violations go, they don’t get much more secondary than this one.
Jim Booz, UGA’s senior associate athletic director for compliance, confirmed to The AJC Thursday that coach Mark Richt ran afoul of NCAA bylaws when he commented on Harvey-Clemons shortly after the highly-touted prospect announced on national television his decision to sign with the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Harvey-Clemons’ signing ceremony at Lowndes High School in Valdosta was televised live by ESPN and the sports network also had a reporter...

UPDATED: Harvey-Clemons never wavered on UGA, just had to convince granddad
ATHENS — Josh Harvey-Clemons said he never wavered on his decision to sign with Georgia. He just had to convince his grandfather that it was the best move.
“I just had to sit down with my family and get everybody on the same page,” said Harvey-Clemons, reached by phone Thursday morning in Valdosta. “He was looking at it as Florida was closer. I’ve got a cousin who still plays at Lowndes and my little brother is going to be in high school next year. Florida is only like an hour and 20 minutes away, so he was thinking about going to...
