Re:Well, we got another one!! 8 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello my fellow Dawg Lovers!

Been a while since I've posted but I've been reading all of your thoughts religiously while working out here in Provo, UT. Anyways, I've seen the #2 Safety recruit we landed, Alec Ogletree play in person since he is from my hometown of Newnan, GA. This kid is definitely a man amongst boys. He dwarfs most HS linebackers and he can really get to the ball. Surely he'll be the big hitter we've been missing since Greg Blue left the Classic City. For obvious reasons, I'm super happy that he choose the Dawgs after having Miami at the top of his list since he hit the recruiting radar early last year!

In general, I'm just really pumped about ALL of the quality kids that have verbally committed over the past few weeks. That said, I want more. Specifically, Mack Brown, the RB from ML King HS is the one I most covet (oh, and Jeff Luc, the #1 MLB from Port St. Lucie but he'll be a total steal if we get him out of Florida, IMHO). The Gators are hard after him (Mack Brown) and feel like he'd be a perfect fit for their spread offense with his speed and elusiveness. Still, surely MB realizes that the UGA RB tradition is much richer than that of UF (anybody know how many UGA running backs have played in the NFL?) He's supposed to commit sometime in July so hopefully we'll soon be looking forward to having the power & speed combo of Malcome & Brown running wild on the rest of the SEC for years to come.

Wlayton, I too like having a big bruiser in the backfield. Really takes a toll on tired defenders and can certainly help a team grind out long, time consuming drives late in close ball games to ensure victory!

We will, hopefully get another Safety today when Jakar Hamilton announces his choice between us and Alabama. We are in need of some young talent at Safety and Ogletree and Hamilton would be a great start, Go Dawgs!!!

Ok Buc, the pieces of the puzzle are in ABUNDANCE. It's borderline ridiculous the p‍layer‍s UGA is getting for the program.

The question.......Can they "coach em up"?....... NO excuses.

wlayton, I am on board with you. You living in Jax, know that you are hearing some of the same things that I am hearing on Merritt Island. Florida folks are beginning to talk about Coach Richt and those that surround him. They are worried about Coach Richt pulling serious talent out of this state and are voicing their opinions in the print media.

Also notice that Urban is trying to sign a young man that stands 6'5" and weighs 240 or so out of Georgia. Trying to replace a big QB with someone larger. Tells us a lot about the reasons receivers are leaving the state and heading to programs that give them a greater chance of playing on Sundays. Top receivers out of Tennessee, Florida casting their vote with UGA, seems like a statement has been made about the Dawgs and our brand of football.

Last words . . . . WM if you have it, better show it. Talent is on and coming to the campus.

You are so right Buc. If you were a huge offensive talent with sights on the NFL, would YOU go to UF? Now way....I would be heading to a pro-‍style‍ offense in college.

BTW, the gators here in Jax are so obnoxious that they can't even see what CMR is doing to UF's talent ‍base‍.

Hey UF......get ready for UM to head north to a certain school with a "golden dome" within the next 3 years. UGA will have all his talent in Athens.
