Buc I dont take that as being ugly at all. Facts are what make the world go round. Well I went to my pledged University, and had a sports related major, i was fortunate enough to get to know some of the p‍layer‍s very well. Even roomed with an unamed safety. In hanging out with p‍layer‍s and seeing certain items pop up(new phones, watches, shoes) on a regular basis, and you could get the p‍layer‍s at a weak moment(intoxicated). I could ask where these items came from, knowing that they, or there family didnt have the means to buy them. They would just smile and say that it was taken care of. I may be way off in thinking that UGA has doen anything like this, CMR is definately a different breed of cat than UM, but recriuts alot of times come from poor situations and sometimes there decision is ‍base‍d on the highest bidder. Now I know that CMR would never knowingly participate in that(I mean that seriously, he is a truely honest man) but boosters and fans can do this unknowingly to the coach or anyone. So that is my only point, and I only have Fla facts to back that up, but I cant help but think that it goes on in other Universities.

gs, I appreciate your personal views and life experiences. Also like the fact that you are a part of this board as are the rest of us. I have been called out a couple of times by those that knew much more than myself on some issues being discussed. Hang around, you are good for this crowd.

Yeah, but as was pointed out recently on a local radio show here in Charlotte, this is the fifth time (!) in the last fourteen years (!!!) that Alabama has had these problems. When do the slaps on the wrist stop?

I read an article on CNN or maybe ESPN that explained why they only get a slap on the wrist.

They basically made it out as if Alabama was just too big to punish harshly. Loss of TV time and bowl appearances hurt the entire conference as much as it does the program.

I hate to admit that I can see where they are coming from. In this day and age of multi million dollar TV contracts and bowl games, having a team like Bama excluded from these big money deals takes money out of the entire SEC wallet.

We may hate it but it's the world we live in.
