Some things need to happen imo next year

1. Keep Searls at all costs.....this guy is a miracle worker. He can make an offensive line work day in and day out with duct tape and wd-40. weve got a good batch of kids, lets use them.

2. Because weve got a good batch of relatively experienced kids I say we dont go too far out of our way recruiting oline...use the scholarship dollars somewhere else

3. There needs to be a serious discussion about martinez' future. Our defensive numbers are inexcusable and it smacks of the classic cmr downfall: doing something that doesnt work until it does. A lot of p‍layer‍s never stepped up, others that did (daryl gamble) werent given as much time as shouldve been warranted ‍base‍d on in game performance. Out secondary needs major work as does the d-line. The D-line is passable but itd be good if they had to commit more than one blocker per play to them, if a lineman is comitted to another lineman it leaves holes which the secondary can rush through/plug. Kade weston stepped it up this year and we got everyone else returning. Owens return would go along way towards this

4. If martinez does get booted/demoted..who would you like to see take his place? I dont think van gorder is coming back sadly...but thatd be my pick. I actually also like Ellis Johnson from SCar and MSU. I'm also looking at dick bumpas from tcu altho Im certain our opposition would have a field day with a name like that

5. I think our defense all around needs the majority of the recruiting work. We need to go hard and heavy after these boys. I think washaun ealey is already in the bag as far as running backs go so Im not to worried about the second coming of knowshon
