Georgia, Florida, No Damn Excuses

11 years 5 months ago #50037 by Buc
Time for the excuses to stop.

This is Georgia vs Florida.

Don't give a damn about who is faster, or bigger, or records.

Bulldog Players, this is for you. Most of what will happen tomorrow is winning the one on one battles. Don't need to hear about rain, wind, kicking game, coaching. The overall BS stops. You want the game, really want the game, strap it up, whip someones ass. If you need help, good teammates can help, don't hide what you aren't capable of.

If you get your butts beat by the man that is facing you on the offensive or defensive line, you don't have to be told. The cameras that are delivering this game to us electronically don't lie or make excuses. The eye in the sky sees all and we, not some of the idiots in the booth like Verne Lundquist understand what is going on.

The DEFENSE spoke up in the off season, said that they/we are on a mission. I will personally hold each and every one of you to this . . . . "whip someones ass".

I remember well the comments after some failures by our coaching staff (not admitted to this day) that we had to get back to winning games in the fourth quarter. Mark Richt, you said it, you wanted me to believe that your latest change in coaching tactics would change fourth quarters. Tomorrow we will see just how successful you have been in this area. If our team fails in the second half, not just the fourth quarter . . . . you own that.

Looking over both teams from top to bottom, there is not reason one that Georgia cannot beat Florida in JAX . . . . regardless of the weather.

They are 7-0, we are 6-1. Before this season (2012) folks in Florida had all but written the JAX game off as a loss. Seven games later, the gators feel like the Dawgs are in the way and have to step over us to get to the fight. Yes I said that. The gators are totally confident that we are only a pimple on someones butt.

Grantham, no one, not anyone has thrown more support to you than Buc. You play the 3/4 tomorrow and have to adjust at halftime because the 3/4 is getting eaten alive . . . . you need to look for employment. Against Florida, you as the defensive coordinator need to stop the run, might look at a four man line.

Couple more things. Ogletree, watched your play since returning from your second disgression. If you are going to tackle after the running back has gained five yards, might be you are better suited to play in the defensive backfield. I said that.

Jenkins. I have watched much of the Kentucky game a couple of times. Their center pushed you around like a rag doll. Not the first team to do that, watched you give up against South Carolina. Trying to avoid injury so you can go to the NFL injury free? Had every reason to believe that you wanted to be special, good man told me that you were a kick ass in Mississippi.

Rambo. Many of us know that the reason you did not leave Athens for the NFL, probably a draft choice in the 5th round. Fact. You puppy dog, (Dawg means a special thing to me) are all about yourself. Have another "cookie" on me, and sadly your high school coach falling in line with your BS.

Shawn Williams . . . . thank you Brother. Truth is your Dad cared enough to love you and teach you RESPECT. Some or one in the same backfield still does not have a grip on that. Call it like it truly is, and I believe you did that. Sometimes we want those that are close to us (teammates) to step up. I think tomorrow Malcolm Mitchell and the receiving corps will do just that.

Last thing . . . . if we have any bad asses on this team, step up tomorrow. If I see any intimidation, it will drive me nuts. Don't be intimidated like your head coach was for example by Urban Meyer, and most years Steve Spurrier.

Brothers, this team has the talent, it will come down to this . . . . beating the gators in spite of . . . . our soft head coach. Good man. Nice bank roll.

Wind is really whipping around here on the East Coast in Central Florida. Can only imagine what the conditions will be like in JAX. Wish we could play this game in perfect weather, find out who the hell wants to wear the Red and Black and play "Grown Man Football".

Reading from a piece that Seth Emerson wrote, had to pick myself off of the floor. The dumbest crap in the world comes out of Mark Richt's mouth. He truly does not understand that comments like the one below (should) have him packing his bags and on the way out of Athens. Don't want him as offensive coordinator as some have suggested anymore. Take your millions and go to South America or where ever your next coaching job will be.

The Gators are a much different team this year, riding strong defense and special teams play, and succeeding under first-year quarterback Jeff Driskel and offensive coordinator Brent Pease. The formula is very similar to what has worked at LSU and Alabama, as Georgia head coach Mark Richt observed this week."That's definitely LSU's formula: defense, special teams and pound the ball, and be patient, and in time be able to physically take over the game," Richt said. "That's how LSU's been trying to do it, Alabama's been trying to do it that way, and Florida's been modeling their game after that as well."

So our head coach, I use that description only because it fits school policy to have one. Shows just how backwards and how the game of football has passed Mark Richt by. If the above mentioned teams are doing that, and I might add SUCCESSFULLY, where the hell is your head HEAD COACH. Not only as you say "trying to do it" got some breaking news for you Richt, "they are doing it". Just leave, some other school will dump coins into your collection basket.

By the way . . . . who are you modeling your/our Dawgs after, seems to me most successful coaches follow what others successful coaches do on and off the field. Stubborn and sorry to say, stupid. Sure looking forward to 2013, going to cause McGarity and others some serious head scratching. There will come a point when the UGA fan base will tar and feather you Richt, many, can't say most yet, will understand next season. There are many on this board that have known for a long time, guess I am like you Richt, slow learner.

Players, don't let Muschamp and his group intimidate you, actually you/we have a better collection of players, just don't have a head coach that can learn from others and pass the information on. Toe to toe Brothers.

Give him a break Buc.... he's trying.

He said in the off-season he was going to look into what this
"special team" stuff was, and possibly bring some of it into
the UGA game-plan somewhere down the road.

lolol

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Wartdawg, Heaven knows that there was a missing link or two in the Mark Richt formula.

Buc, read the first post in the thread. Might be the best post I have seen. Nothing but truth. Only thing I would think to add and I hope the Dawgs will remember. Football is a violent collision sport. I used to ask my guys, whose going to be the guy to make the hit that will send chills down the spines of the other team. Hoping that player steps up today.

GO DAWGS. How I truly hate the gators.

I haven't posted anything or even been on line in the last couple of weeks. I have been in a football coma. I don't know why I allow myself to get fooled year after year. I don't even remember the last time GA beat a top ten team. I believe we can win. I believe we have the talent. What I fear is that once again, we will be outcoached. Every time we have a game plan that is working we are great. Every time we need to make adjustments, we can't do it and we lose. That is the difference between playing a patsy and playing a team with equal talent. The coaches ability to recognize. The chess match. I don't know why everyone else in the world can see this except the ones with the checkbook. When I buy something that doesn't work as advertised I return it for a refund or throw it away and get something different. I love the DAWGS and hope for a victory today.
