I think we will need to run the ball.
On D though. I think we should sell out to stop the run period and force Shaw to beat us with his arm. If it turns into a shoot-out I'd take Murray over Shaw every time. Just my .02

Marcus Lattimore (2010)- 107 Carries 459 Yards (4.3 YPC) 8 TDs
Trenton Richardson (2009)- 52 Carries 306 Yards (5.9 YPC) 4 TDs
Mark Ingram (2008)- 50 Carries 280 Yards (5.6 YPC) 5 TDs
Knowshon Moreno (2007)- 78 Carries 432 Yards (5.53 YPC) 3 TDs
Arian Foster (2004)- 36 Carries 137 yards (3.81 YPC) 1 TD
Herschel Walker (1980)- 88 Carries 463 Yards (5.26 YPC) 5 TDs
Wow - that is an eye opener, Dawg With Style. As you know, Herschel was a stud back in the days of 30+ carries per game. But look at the number of carries for Lattimore! That's RB abuse! So that got me to wondering what he's been up to so far THIS year:
92 carries 440 yards 8 TDs.
Spurrious and the 'Cocks lean on Lattimore! Stop Lattimore, stop the 'Cocks. When a guy gets that many carries per game, the body takes a beating. Let's beat on him this Saturday night!!!

Your .02 covered Getdown11. With you on this. Hope Grantham throws the kitchen sink at them . . . if that is permitted.

My worst fear is our special teams. This is a hugh game, and we have a freshman placekicker and punter. I have seen at times where the punter is slow, and I fear a blocked punt. I know Marshall can kick it out of the end zone on kick offs, but last week he did not. Why put your self in a position where they return a kick off for a TD. Our punt coverage looks OK, but that little guy for SC worries me.
I know we will come out and run 2 plays straight, then on 3rd we pass and you know what will happen then. I realize we have to establish the run, but they are the no 1 D against the run on 1st downs. I just hope BOBO comes up with some quick plays to get rid of the ball.
Been watching a lot of sports shows, and most say AM is good, but tries to do to much, and sometimes holds on to the ball to long. It just seems that Tayolr and Clowney are unstoppable. I just wonder if our OL and give AM enough time to complete a pass.
Really stressing out over this game, I know it just a game, but really want a win.

They must be watching tape of AM from last year. Remember...half of these "experts" don't even watch the games...they see a stat line against TN that shows he gave up a pick and had a fumble and just assume he was forcing things while we know the truth...that the end made a great play to tip the ball, and Theus has a freshman brain-fart and about got his QB killed.
This year Am is much more decisive, knows the system better, and is making much better reads...it's the reason he's one of the best in the country in efficiency. One quick note on Taylor and Clowney...not saying they won't make plays, but they're both edge rushers who rely on speed...AM has been PHENOMENAL at sensing outside pressure and stepping up in the pocket this year...as long as our tackles use that speed against them and don't let those two get to the inside, AM will be just fine

You are correct, Mike Honcho. duck, go back to last year. We not only gave them the ball, but we gave them the ball and points to go with it, just like Tennessee this last weekend. And we beat Tennessee and almost beat South Carolina. Honestly duck, we have WAY more weapons this year. AM is releasing the ball much faster this year. Our receivers are finally running REAL routes this year.
Game 6 this year will not be the same as Game 2 last year. Which team has progressed further? I say we have. [I honestly don't think South Carolina is any better than last year.] IC is gone and we now have not one, but TWO guys BETTER than him, and a third who is about as good, and a fourth who has veteran experience and can punish linebackers. Think about this: last year, for the ENTIRE SEASON, our top two RBs had a combined 1211 yards rushing for a combined 7 TDs. So far we are not yet half way there, and our top two RBs have a combined 1064 yards rushing and a combined 14 TDs. That's almost two yards to every yard last year!! And before you say we are playing cupcakes this year, remember that last years stats include Kentucky, Ole Miss and New Mexico State.
We are not running a new defense, and I agree with kentdaddy that we have already faced the best offense we'll see this year, CERTAINLY the best QB we'll face this year, period.
I think our O will play with fewer mistakes this time around. As long as that happens and we don't get too conservative, we win by 10 or more.
