Really excited about this one Buc. Especially since so many of the pundits are picking the upset. AM and the boys scrimmaged Buffalo last week on offense, but the good thing is we showed a good running game with Gurley, Marshall and Hall on the short yardage 3rd down play. The offense will be opened up tonight as Mizzou will have to respect the run game.

Cautiously optimistic, but thinking the Dawgs get it done in the "Show Me State". Control of the East starts tonight! Whether 9 or 18 are there or not, no excuses!

DawgnLA, watching several games on the tube today, in between making "Southern Chicken and Dumplings".

South Carolina game the broadcasters had some good things to say about Gurley and his future. Cannot disagree with them. Seriously hoping that we see some others being used effectively, will mean so much down the road. Bad showing tonight, South Carolina will move past us even though they are wading through this game against East Carolina.

Chizik got it handed to him today. Unless Auburn improves leaps and bounds, there will be serious unrest on the Plains.

Totally agree with your statement above . . . . Whether 9 or 18 are there or not, no excuses!

Did a little research. 1992 SC's first SEC game was the first game of the season with UGA in Columbia and lost 28-6. Arkansas played their first SEC game the second game of the season in Columbis and won 45-7. Just in case you were wondering.

I hope that last week was just a matter of us knowing we would win, and not wanting to show anything to Missouri. However, I have thought this was a trap game for us since it was first announced. Missouri is going to come at us with guns blazing, as this game could very well end up defining their program for the next several seasons. As of the afternoon before the game, I'm just not feeling too good about this one.

After all this time it would be hard for UGA to be overlooking or getting trapped by this team. IF we lose it will because someone else wants it more than we do. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!GATA

Like I posted somewhere here earlier, the SEC WANTS at least ONE of the new teams to come in with a WIN. Wouldn't you if you were Mike Slive? If both teams got slobber-knockered, it would confirm the "superiority" of the SEC and take away from the luster of the rest of the new team's seasons, especially against "weak" opponents like UGA and UF. The SEC is hoping for a win from BOTH teams to create PASSION among a large portion of SEC fans, so that upcoming games will be even MORE interesting than the openers.

I also FIRMLY believe that the officials have most likely been briefed on the desire for a favorable outcome for Missouri and A&M, and that we might see some laundry go against us in some crucial situations IF NEED BE. Wouldn't surprise me if Slive had a little something to do with those hash brownies, either.
