This report talks about all the of the field distractions this is what Arby Jones said not JJ-29.

“It’s real frustrating,” Jones said, “but at the end of the day, when you see people who can’t really control themselves off the field [you realize] it was people who weren’t really in it for the whole team the whole time.”

Think that was Abry Jones.

Senior defensive end Abry Jones was extremely bothered by the off-field garbage. As things piled up, his patience began to dissolve as he watched a team with so much talent risk throwing everything away with humiliating off-field transgressions.

“It’s real frustrating,” Jones said, “but at the end of the day, when you see people who can’t really control themselves off the field [you realize] it was people who weren’t really in it for the whole team the whole time.”

WOW! All I can say is WOW! Good on you Abry.

Reading the comments made by Abry Jones makes me swell with pride. Below is another clip from one of my favorite people. Really like the way he makes note of those putting in extra effort, and again he mentions two of the newer players that I believe we will see a lot of this season. From all that I can gather, the players are big supporters and this clip is just another reason why.

Another young pup that I really like is Faton Bauta. Played football in South Florida, and played it well.

The link below comes from a reporter that I really like, think I have mentioned this before. Seth Emerson comes up with those "little things" that can mean so much. In this case Faton Bauta playing quarterback and . . . . you can read below.

I had the pleasure to hear David Greene speak last night. What a class act guy and what an obsolute pleaseure it was to hear him speak on his time at UGA and what he's done since.

He spoke some on how this team is starting to show a "TEAM" attitude like it was during his time at UGA. He mentioned (as we all know) there have been several or more years since he left where certain players were all in it form themselves. The "I and ME" attitude. He says he's now seeing that same bond between the players with a "TEAM" attitude. He admitted that during his time they were really a "medicore" team but what made them special and achieve great things, was the "TEAM" attitude and respect they had for one another.

If these Dawgs will unite as team, I have no doubt great things will happen this year baring injuries to key positions.

Here's his interview if you're interested.

Gillette, good stuff. David saying that his group were somewhere around "mediocre" speaks to the importance of team play. I look back at the last championship with Herschel and his gang. I would say the same tags apply to them. Amazing what can be done when everyone gets rid of the "I".

Thanks for the post Gillette...

David Greene was always one of my favorite QB's at UGA...

Chemistry goes along way in a TEAM being special.

You guys are getting me jacked for the season!!!

The only thing I want to add to this post is I may be in the minority, but I think MM needs to stay on defense. I think most offenses are "system" offenses, meaning as long as a WR has ability, desire, and good hands, we should be able to plug in anyone and they be able to catch a 10 yard post.

Defense is about skill, speed, and killer instinct. MM is a freak. Think about MM, B. Smith, Rambo, Williams, Tree, JJ, Jenkis, by the end of the year. You have championship materila there. You have the ability to shut out people.

If we hold teams to 10 points, marlon brown, T. King, KM, Gurley, marshall, Rome, Murray, etc. should be able to get us a win.

Keep MM on defense.
