Good Morning All,
Once again the Dawgs in north FL and south GA are soaked. Prayers to all in harm’s way.

No rain in the near forecast for Athens. Been a toasty week so those who are out doing the 7 on7 drills will have the added opportunity to build up some heat tolerance at the same time.

Not much coach or player noise coming from campus just a little blah blah about the search committee for a new president.

We can save a ton of money and just give the job to Buc they are not going to find anyone who loves UGA as much and knows if you do it right the first time that it’s done and over with.

For all those folks who miss and know about Jittery Joe’s they do have an online store at www.jitteryjoes.com

They are good people who help out in our community with many worthwhile projects and contributions.
I brew my Jittery’s on the weekends as a special self treat. Love the “Morning Ride” blend.

I was happy that so many of you spoke up and cast your “all in” vote to start the season.

There will be plenty of time to jump off the bus if need be.

I was speaking with some folks back in Chattanooga and there is a genuine concern about the turnaround taking place in Athens.

The pumpkin people are not looking forward to making the trip to Sanford this season. In his words give CTG two more seasons of building depth and experience and there won’t be another defense in the country that they will have to look up to,including Kirby & Bama.

There is also talk of the seat getting warmer under CDD. Mom will need a complete gasket replacement when she gets wind of this.

His last words were he would trade DaRick for MM and toss in a bottle of Jack. Not in your lifetime was my answer.

Last night it cooled off early and Georgia talked me into taking a walk to check out the south forty.

We have two new fawns that have taken up housekeeping with their mamma’s and she wanted to play tag.

As we walked I asked can we lean on our defense and win, or bluntly can the defense carry us.

Her answer was yes; we take care of the ball and don’t turn it over and let our “D” gain field
position for us we will be in fine shape.

We should have the benefit of playing on a short field often this season.

Play smart football and stay away for the injuries and turnovers by mid-season the heads will be talking about Georgia and the fan bus will be full.

Ok it's back to the if’s and butts!

After our chicken mull in Columbia we will need to add to the bus fleet.

With our schedule I don’t see us getting into a shoot out with anyone.

I sense both Vandy and the Vols will want to come here a sling the ball around.

IMO this would play into our “D” hands.

Pin our puppies ears back and we all meet at the QB. Love it big time.

July is here Sunday which means our wait is getting shorter.

Wife wants me to grill some salmon so that will fill up Saturday evening.

I must consume a number of frosties to avoid rushing the process.

Know fact that aged machinery like myself needs to be lubricated well.

I will toast the brothers as the sunset. Life is good and better if you’re a Dawg.

The 4th is Wednesday- relax and enjoy the quality time with those you love and who love you.

Remember those away from their families in service to our country keeping us free. Thank You!

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week.

As always “Go Dawgs”

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, good read and one portion of your thread that I really like and totally agree with is posted below. "Georgia" is so right about playing "smart football". Have a great weekend. Down my way we have had much rain and wind, appears that Debby will leave us alone now. :)

Good read. As near retirement from the military. I wonder if I would move back to Georgia. After reading that, it becomes harder not to move now!

yd1.....one of you better messages to all of us....thank you.

Believe the D can carry us but imo you have to be careful with that......the offense will have to do their jobs as well not only to score but to give our D some rest. Remember MSU???

Anyway, point is well taken, our D is our strength but I have a "feeling" that by mid-year, our offense will be very tough to stop.....

Kicking game really needs to step up to complete the puzzle. Rarely do you see a championship team that doesn't have great ST play. Cost us last year.....needs to benefit us this year with solid play.

Envy your walks with Georgia.....when I try to take DJ (my 3 year old bulldawg) for a walk, he turns around once we get to the mailbox.....he's pooped.

I'll toast a cool one to you for your fine, uplifting post.....enjoy the salmon my friend.
