From Athens -Pass'n time until Kickoff

Good Moring All,
I hope everyone had a very enjoyable Father’s Day. I sure did.
DWS-thanks for your email.
This past Saturday morning I was sitting on the Jittery Joe’s patio Eastside enjoying a healthy breakfast of a Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit and washing it down with a large Jittery’s “Morning Ride” coffee. Pure bliss!
I told the wife that I would eat two pine cones with a glass of water for lunch to make up for my cholesterol busting feast.
The follow is not an effort to change anyone’s mind only my thinking and feelings at this time.
I also understand that we are all not going to have like thinking when it comes to
UGA football- coaches and players. This will never change. More than likely it is a good thing
Forgive me for starting a new thread on a current one running on the subject of
“Time to start Analysis”.
Not once in my 67 years have I seen or been a part of anything successful that started with a negative or pessimistic thought or action.
Many successes have come out of failure but it is only after taking the negative lessons of failure and redirecting your efforts in a positive way can success follow.
IMO to start the season we owe this year’s team something better than to haunt them with our frustrations of seasons and past games played.
You can’t jump off the bus if you are not on it to begin with!
Those who chose to bail can however let’s wait until the game is played.
Play and win one game at a time.
It comes back around to Al Davis - “Just win baby”
Repeating a comment I have made several times as well as others here have also voiced.
I want the recruits who want and I repeat want to be a Bulldog.
In their bones and blood that they feel Georgia is where they want to play football.
We have another monster year on defense as I think we will no question on NSD the stars will fall on Athens again.
This goes for both sides of the ball.
You are a stud high school player on offense and you see what the Dawgs have done in three short years to improve on “D”.
No doubt you will take a long look at the Dawgs.
A known fact is defense wins championships
Pause and give thanks
Have great weekend and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”

YD1, feel that what I hear coming from some of the new "PUPS" and most of the returning "DAWGS" gives cause to be upbeat and optimistic about this year and several to follow. Although a little skeptical about the offense, I'd rather be supportive until, and if, there is reason not to be. Thanks for bringing it up. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yd1, thank you for another "Friday, kick-off the weekend in a good mood" post.
I feel everyone on this board is an optimistic fan.....with "concerns". Hard for me to believe anyone could be a "real" DAWG fan and not be optimistic and have expectations......why would you even be a member of the board?? We all have concerns and frustrations but believe we are all truly, deep down......optimistic!!!
yd1, will toast a "cool one" to you and be optimistic that you will too.

YD1, agree 100%. Each new year gives promise of a new beginning. Let's be supportive and play them one game at a time. My dad always said success breeds success. Our D has that ability to make the O play a little better, a little meaner, if you will.
Growl, spot on. Give let's them a chance before we throw in the towel. I believe we can be supportive and, as I have said before, cautiously optimistic at the same time. My judging the O now would be like my doctor prescribing medicine without seeing me.
I think I'll wait till after the Missou game.
And YD1, I miss that Jittery Joe's. Frequented it often when we lived on the east side.

Good stuff YD1.
I did a lot of reading on the offensive concerns many have. Lot of good reasoning for those concerns and good thoughts. Believe the main concerns were O Line, intermediate routes, and running backs playing inspired football.
I went back and watch the G Day game last night. I believe all of those areas of concern were displayed. I realized it was just the G Day game, but I saw an offensive line open holes and move the football against what many, including myself, believe will be the best defense in the country. I saw KM and IC turn nothing into positive gains. Even it is was only 2-3 yds. Those tough yards can make a big difference. I saw a lot of intermediate slants, and even saw some deep post.
For those that can, go back and watch the G Day game. I didn't pay enough attention to it the first go around, but after going back and watching, saw a lot to be encouraged by on the offensive side.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
GO DAWGS
