It looks as if Preston Parker's charges are going to be downgraded. Doesn't look like it's going to be a felony charge anymore. Looks like a lot of cash must have changed hands at the state attorney's office. In short, he stays, and he plays. Congratulations F$U. And you wonder why people call you the Criminoles.

If he does get kicked off the team, he can always go play for Lardo in Knoxville.

I know we've said it before, but I'm so glad Coach Richt runs a clean program. Let's compare-- We hav a player who is drinking underage, flags down a police car he thought was a cab, says a couple of smart ass remarks to the cop and get suspended for 2 games. Geno Hayes from FSU is drinking at a bar underage, gets thrown out, fights the bouncers, fights with the police when they show up, gets tazed by the police, and his punishment??? He wasn't allowed to start the next game, although he was playing the second time their defense took the field.
Thank you again, Coach Richt for making the players responsible for their actions, and keeping integrity in our program.

UD37, I have a problem similar to you with some of the things that these young players seem (seem?) to get away with. At some point the hammer has to come down. However, have watched the hammer come down (supposedly) not only at FSU, have witnessed the same things going on all over the country. Whether it be basketball or football, this day and time has changed the way sports are played and recruited nation wide. Personally, know that I am too damn old to comment on the athletes of today, however, it doesn't close my mouth. We have certainly had our problems at UGA, but agreeing with sadlerdawg, we have a coach that will not put up with a lot. When I say a lot, I mean just that, but that is my opinion. We have a linebacker that is coming back this year that could have gotten away with some of his antics at another place, but CMR said no. Here we are not talking about an athlete that is middle of the road, we are talking about a young man that will more than likely sign a huge pro contract. Personally, I think that it is a sad commentary that college sports has come to this. Let me go a little further, it is a sad commentary when these agents see these young fellows, not unlike what is going on at Southern California right now, and they move in and push ethics aside and do the "street" thing. If anyone would like to "push" my button, I could get really deep into this post. I think that it is sad that FSU continues to bypass principles, but my question is this. . . . how many schools and athletes are doing the "same thing".

I know it seems as if I pick on F$U a lot, but it was SOOOO hard listening to all these Criminole fans down here gloat over their glory years, and talk smack about UGA. They totally dissed CMR when he left FSU and said he would never be a good HC in the SEC. I guess he kind of shot that theory down in a hurry, didn't he? Indeed, I now take great pleasure in every FSU stumble. What's even funnier is hearing them say that they always pulled for UGA as their # 2 favorite team, or that they pull for UGA now because of CMR. Hypocrites and turncoats.
