Absolutely. Hard not to run out of gas when the refs send you to the foul line less than a quarter of the amount they send the other guys. Ridiculous calling, but we showed a lot of heart and proved we can play with anyone in the country with that 11-point lead. But with only nine guys, a fast team like Xavier can wear you down.
No question how proud Bulldog Nation is of Dennis's Dream Dawgs. The history books, boys, the history books.

Man, the DAWGS played great in the 1st half but it looked like they had the tired legs in the 2nd half. Too many turnovers, the shots weren't dropping, & to Xavier's credit, they outplayed us on both sides of the ball down the stretch.
Regardless, I will always cherish the fond memories of the 2008 Dream Dawgs & nobody can ever take away the title of SEC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! That SEC CHAMPIONS banner will always stand out hanging from the rafters in Stegeman! Like RedDawg & wlayton, I'm really PROUD of Denny's Dawgs for showing so much heart & determination til' the end!
THANKS TO THE ENTIRE TEAM & STAFF FOR GIVING DAWG NATION A MAGNIFICENT MARCH TO REMEMBER!!!

The officiating was terrible, Bliss almost lost it and I don't blame him. I am so proud of this team, an inspiration to the Dawg Nation. Thanks guys!

I counted atleast 4 clean blocks by Bliss....all called for fouls, and 2 blocks by Jackson called for fouls as well. Gaines didn't goto the line once, i'm sure that has never happened before in any game he has ever played. We should have won, the refs basically gave Xavier the comeback by putting them at the line so much. 33 FREE throw attempts for Xavier, only 5 for Georgia. Give me a break. I don't think we ran out of gas, but our guys became discouraged from the unfair refs and had to change the way they played, fearing getting fouls called.

Hey everybody, I've got to share this with all of you. I was driving home yesterday and had the radio on a sports talk station here in Jax that is the signature station for the Gators. One of the 2 hosts got in to a BIG argument with a Gator fan by saying that if both Stafford and Tebow were eligible for the NFL draft that not only would MS be drafted before Tebow but that MS would be drafted #1 in this year's draft. Now remember this is the UF flagship station and this gator fan went ballistic but the host(actually asst host) gave all the reasons and really drove home the point that the NFL would be salivating to get MS because he is the perfect QB for the pro's where Tebow is a big unknown etc etc. IT WAS SOOOOO GREAT TO LISTEN TO, plus after they argued for at least 15 minutes, their phones LIT UP with Dawg callers LOVING IT and were all over the gators during THEIR air time.
The UF caller tucked his tail and hung up.
IT WAS PRICELESS!!!!!

Vanderbilt 2007 Preview
This could be the year Vanderbilt snaps its painful string of 24 consecutive losing seasons. When you combine a roster loaded with experience, some star power and a schedule that features eight home games, you have all of the necessary ingredients for a six- or seven-win season in Nashville.
-
Arkansas 2007 Preview
The Heisman Trophy runner-up and Doak Walker award winner, Darren McFadden, returns to a team that won the SEC West. So does Felix Jones, another 1,000-yard rusher. The hopes of the 2007 Arkansas season rest on the shoulders of these two backs as the entire Razorback nation looks to get over a turbulent offseason.
-
Florida 2007 Preview
Those young Gators will have to grow up quickly if they hope to come close to duplicating the success of last season. Florida must replace virtually all of its defense and a four-year starter at quarterback. The Gators face a rough schedule that features home games against Tennessee, Auburn and Florida State, the annual tussle with Georgia and a visit to LSU.
-
Georgia 2007 Preview
There are exclamation points ? most notably the return of a more seasoned Matthew Stafford ? and there are also question marks. The offensive line is inexperienced, the wide receivers are underachieving, and the defensive ends and most of the linebackers are just flat gone. One thing is for sure. It should be one heck of a year in Athens.
-
LSU 2007 Preview
The Tigers go into the 2007 season with lofty and realistic expectations of battling for the national championship. And perhaps it?s not a coincidence that Les Miles? stamp on the Tigers is more obvious now than it was in his first two seasons.
-
Alabama 2007 Preview
Alabama is not deep, and its defensive front is suspect in size, numbers and talent. However, a big pack of skill players returns on offense. Couple that with Alabama's good-schedule year and maybe Nick Saban can pull a surprise in his first season in Tuscaloosa.
