Averagedawg. Truly amazing to watch good old fashion

Common sense take over in place of the horse hockey

That used to be passed out during coaches press conferences

Bet the only thing we recognize come fall is our uniforms

As ....MH. Said. Time for us to get popping...tried of watching other teams win......

Not only is the bite going to return but also knowing how

To use it.....Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

It's been a long time but I am starting to enjoy the warm feeling that we have a new HC in Athens taking care of business.

Go Dawgs!!! :cheer:

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

We have in the recent past had questions about our

Assistant coaches being able to do their jobs with any

Confidence on the results they wiould produce....

True there are some who still question if we couldn't have

Done better ....than the coaches we hired...

Interesting the number isn't as high as when Toddy or

Shotty were hired... CKS..... Now that NSD has passed

We can focus on getting to know our players and building our culture.....

Much taking place here in the Classic City....Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

Good read yankeedawg1. Good points made.

We will definitely see changes in a lot of areas as you suggest.

When we are a very talented team, year after year, and cannot do any better than we have with the goal that the previous coach set his sights on, the East, ??. When we fail to reach what I consider level one of three levels, time to witness changes.

Fifteen years in my opinion of talented players, fifteen years of less than talented coaches.

Can name many of the talented players over the 15 years. Can also name the coaches that should not have coached in Athens the last 15 years.

Say again, much of that fault is above the folks that coached football. Need not say more, have done that many times. Many are aware that there is more to winning football than coaches alone.

MH is speaking to whatmany of us on this board have stated fro year --if kids stay in state even Bama can't compete. The top 10 players in Ga yearly are better than the top 10 in Bama.

Kids like MH and Lecounte next year will help build the "Commit to the G" culture we need. Under CMR, commit to the G stood for "Commit to the Goodness of having a good heart because winning doesn't matter"

BulldogShannon, thought this might be a good place to place this link.

Believe it was Wartdawg that mentioned to those that thought our recruiting would go by the wayside if hiring a new coach did not hold up.

Link below is coming from the outside, not those that had their hearts broken when Coach Smart was hired. Believe more and more folks are beginning to open their eyes and see just what you mentioned above . . . . "Commit to the Goodness of having a good heart because winning doesn't matter".

Whether the grading in the article below is right or wrong, it says to me that "change has been made successfully".

2017 recruiting might turn some of those fans(?) around. Seems like more and more of the media folks are on board with Smart and Company.

Alabama is set for years to come. Coach Smart knows that he has to peck away to get close to what Nick Saban has done and is doing. Kirby Smart was very good with Nick Saban, now we find out how good Kirby Smart is without Nick Saban. Also, Nick Saban finds out just how good Kirby Smart was and what he meant to the Alabama program.

You make a good point about top athletes in the State of Georgia. Looking at the new hires, have this feeling that we are going to see names on the roster that would never been there or approached by the previous head coach.
