Good Morning All,
GDF # 11 - not much to say about the game this week other than win without injuries and play everyone who dresses out.

No harm in savoring the Assburn win for a while longer… I plan to

Our HS coaches beat theirs badly…. Love it

They made half time adjustments so did we..Ours were better.. thank
you….

Back in January I spoke about the noted defensive law firm of G.B. & B. opening offices at One Sanford Drive.

Well they sure showed up this past Saturday night and won their case very impressively.

Russ their spokesperson has announced that Growl-Bark and Bite will travel with the team to Jacksonville and Auburn in 2015. Efforts are being made to have them at all our future games.

What CJP and crew have done is nothing less than amazing

With one spring and fall camp..dismiss bad apples with experience

Others left on their own

Insert green players … then play nine games

Play game 10 against the leading SEC rushing team and shut them down

It has been a long time since words like brilliant have been used speaking about any of our coaches…. Happened here and I agree

Yes we stumbled but were able to learn and improve

Speaking of coaches

How many of us after the UF game would have said that we would have the ball 4th and one inside our ten and pass up the FG against Assburn with the score tied?

Not me

Now allow me to connect the dots

CMR and CMB fast conversations before the TO

FG team is on the field

More conversations

Look at the body language of CMB in the booth and how its changes

With the TO

We line up to go for it with TG out NC in-- flashbacks to USC

Heads on TV notice we have an unbalanced line right

Anyone remember if we ran an unbalanced line any time this season prior to this play? I can’t

History shows- we run right with NC and score - Assburn is down 7

This had the finger prints of CMR-CMB and CFW all over it

As it should be..CMR had the final say…. You saw a spark of a former OC/QB getting pumped..and no stone face

Leaves no question in my mind..CMR when he said we had a play we really like… so we ran it… acted like a SEC coach that wanted to win

For this game we ended the playing not to lose question..

Here is hoping it remains a thing of the past..thank you

CMR’s remark going in at the half to sweet baby cakes was…if it don’t work..then it was stoopid….well we sure have been there done that.. we have the T-shirt- plus the video and the coffee mug to prove it …ok several times over…

Thank you coaches for having the stones -thinking we can make a yard

I keep playing the play back just to see DA the Boss pumping his fists

Speaking of which….. All spring and summer I kept saying we would be
Pleasantly surprised with our “OL” IMO we are north of just being good

Lessons learned…Nasty…understood.. thanks CWF for getting us over the hump

Add Blake Edwards and Big Country and the plebs we have on campus

Depth….. Experienced fresh players all game/season… a very good thing!!

A game were #71 didn’t jump ,we didn’t get any late hits out off bounds

Team played smart winning football

Time will tell … was this is the game we moved up to being a better/good football team

Did anyone else notice the condition of the field this past weekend for the UK & UT game? It is worth a look on YouTube .

The sandbox named Neyland is a disgrace to all of college football.

Both teams play on it but as we saw last year it is an ACL waiting to happen.

Thiller- Hedges were smoke’n big time- sweet time in Athens

Buc… spoke of CJP and CTR having this game with AU circled on their calendar

Bet it will be Bama’s visit next season with the big circle around it

I said it before..still believe one of the reasons CJP came to UGA was to unseat CKS as the best DC in the SEC which makes for the best in college football..because defense wins championships.....

Would not bet against that happening sooner than later…one reason is CTR working the front 7

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always…..”Go Dawgs”!!!

Go Dawgs!

The chatter is pretty quite on the game tomorrow. Hmmm. Over confident, under confident, or just right confident?

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

Essentially disinterested I think. Annoyed maybe, that college football would be better off reducing the 12 game schedule back to 11 regular season games by getting rid of one cupcake game and adding one or two more playoff rounds. But that's just me.

It's not that I think CSU has ZERO chance, but they BETTER have zero chance . . . if that makes any sense. :pinch:

yd1, yet another great post. You are spot on about that 4th down call. Watching that replay shows a whole lotta "WANT-IT-BAD" on the part of every single person on the UGA team . . . players, coaches, assistants, police escorts, trombone section, every person in every seating section of the stadium outside of sections 102 through 104. Going for it there, with a tie score - could have thrown the momentum right back to Abuurn. The initial reaction was the right one - get me some points. But the time out provided enough time to grow a pair and remember that if you put enough beef on the line, you can get one lousy yard, and with NC in the game, you can get the other 8 to boot.

I'm still sick about this season, and may be for many years to come. Two lousy games, lost to two lousy, stinking teams. Win those two games and everything would be so much simpler. However - literally every single goal that was there in August is still there. If only Tennessee and Arkansas were a little better this year. Like others here, I HATE "backing into" a championship, but I'd rather back into one than be run over by someone else winning one.

I'll be smoking a turkey again this year (last year did it in single digit temps at 6:00 in the morning Thanksgiving day - that was actually FUN). It tasted AWESOME - infused with butter, smoked with apple wood. This year I'm telling the kids we're having "smoked yellow jackets" with a side of "Hallowed Hedges" (some sort of green) and "Practice footballs" (probably sweet potatoes).
