The Athens Clarke-County jail log lists Jonathan Taylor as having been booked at 6:08 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of felony aggravated assault.
The height, weight, full name and year of birth match that of Georgia's redshirt sophomore defensive lineman.
The arresting agency is listed as the UGA police department. Taylor is currently being held in jail. No more details are available at this time.
Taylor was one of four Georgia players arrested earlier this year and charged with trying to double-cash scholarship checks. It was subsequently announced that Taylor wouldn't face game suspension for that incident.
The timing of this is unfortunate for Georgia in that teammates have pointed to Taylor as having one of the better offseasons on the team in preparation for this season. Per UGA policy, athletes are automatically suspended for any felony arrest.
